The Peak Performance Helium Down Hybrid Jacket is a model from the insulated Helium range that utilizes a patented quilted baffle design to maximize the effectiveness of the natural insulation material. The jacket's hybrid construction combines an insulated front and back panel, as well as a hood, with elasticated sleeves and knitted side panels.
This jacket features a full-length YKK® zipper that operates smoothly regardless of the temperature. The zipper features a patch to protect the chin from pinching.
The Helium Down Hybrid Jacket uses durable and lightweight ripstop nylon fabric with increased resistance to mechanical damage as its main material. The material features a hydrophobic coating that protects the natural insulation from moisture and light precipitation that could impair its insulating properties. The knitted sleeves and side panels are characterized by high stretch and breathability. The jersey fabric is a combination of quick-drying polyester and stretch elastane. The jacket's custom fit is ensured by an elastic construction in the hem and cuffs. The integrated hood, which is adjustable in height and width, offers protection from the cold.
The high level of warmth is achieved through the use of 90/10 duck down with a compressibility of 700 cubic meters. The word cuin refers to the unit of down elasticity; the name comes from the English (cubic inch) and indicates how much volume an ounce of down fill takes up. The higher the cuin value, the better the down expands and the more air it can store. This results in both better insulation properties and better compression when packed.
The jacket is made of natural duck down, evenly distributed across the front and back in a quilted construction with the unique Helium pattern that has made Peak Performance's Helium garments so popular. The patented Helium pattern ensures the insulation's high performance, compression properties, and protection from the elements, maintaining continuous insulation despite the weather. This hybrid model features three external pockets: two open side pockets and a zippered chest pocket.
